Commission Custom Handmade Furniture Across the DFW Metroplex
Alright! I’m really glad you're interested and can't wait to get started with you, but let’s get a few things out of the way so that you know what you're getting. Custom furniture isn’t about the price and doesn’t come cheap. I use real, quality hardwoods, not cheap manufactured chipboard. Quality plywoods and veneers may be used were appropriate to mitigate wood movement. Of course, we’ll review all that as part of the design process. My top priority is your satisfaction, making sure to meet (and hopefully exceed) your expectations.
When you commission a piece from Dallas County Woodworks, you’re creating a one-of-a-kind custom furniture design. Every project is handcrafted in our Dallas workshop, serving the entire DFW metroplex, from McKinney to Cedar Hill and Rockwall to Weatherford.
Please be aware too that I won’t take on “built-in” work like cabinets and countertops, or projects that need to be created on site. I specialize in free standing furniture. Pricing generally starts around $1500. Please review the process below, and when you're ready, let's start making something great!

My Commission Process
Step 1: Consultation
Fill out the “Commission a Piece” form below, with a description of what you’d like or ideas you’d like incorporated. I’ll contact you to discuss more about your piece like your vision, dimensions, materials, and style. After paying the design fee, we’ll move to Step 2.
The design fee is non-refundable, but will be deducted from the final price upon delivery.
Step 2: Desing & Quote
The next step is making sure you know what you’ll get. I’ll make a CAD model of the piece you’d like and set up a review. We can modify this design until you’re happy. During this step you'll also receive the final quote once your design is finalized.
Step 3: Build
After you’re happy with the virtual design, I’ll require a deposit to purchase materials and start the work. I’ll be sure to keep you informed of progress as you would like. Each piece is handcrafted in my Dallas workshop.
Step 4: Deliver
Delivery Day! Once your piece is completed, I’ll deliver the piece to you at no additional charge. Once you’ve received the piece, and paid the final balance, there’s only one thing left to do. ENJOY!
